Butterheads are thick-leaved with a sweet buttery flavour and excellent texture.
Romaine has an earthy flavour with crisp, succulent and crunchy texture.
Batavia has great flavour, with shiny, crispy, red-tinged dark-green leaves.
Oakleaf has a sweet but also slightly nutty taste, with deep gentle lobes and crisp feel.
